Custom furniture and cabinetry, one piece at a time.

— A one-person studio

Waxwing Woodwork is the practice of a single maker. Every joint, every surface, every piece of grain is considered, cut, and finished by hand in a small shop. Commissions are limited, intentional, and built to outlast their owners.

01 — About

Slow work, made to last.

I am a one-person shop working primarily in solid local hardwoods — walnut, oak, cherry. My goal is to work with you to build the perfect piece of furniture that you've always wanted, but have been unable to find.

There is no production line, no assembly, no shortcuts. A table takes the time a table takes. The work is meant to live in a home for generations.

Every joint considered,

In the shop

Big things from a small shop

The shop is a small space, filled with equipment to create your piece. The pace of the world outside is fast, stressful, and hectic. Inside the shop, it is calm and controlled. The perfect setting to create a future heirloom.
